Our partners jointly visited the leading startup hubs in Kigali

Our partners Jochen Biedermann and Yan Kwizera met in Kigali, Rwanda, in the 2nd half of March 2022.

During a tour to the Westerwelle Startuphaus Kigali, operated by the Westerwelle Foundation, they met with local entrepreneurs and FinTechs.

They also visited Africa’s largest hub for entrepreneurs: Norrsken East Africa.

It is part of the Norrsken Foundation, a non-profit foundation built on the belief that entrepreneurs building rapidly scalable businesses can help solve some of the greatest challenges facing our world today.

Our managing partner gave a welcome statement at a Norrsken pitch meeting.

He stressed his strong belief in the future growth in Rwanda, vast opportunities in the financial sector, innovation through FinTech, and the positive effect of connecting the FinTech ecosystems internationally.

He thanked Nicolas Adalberth, the founder of Norrsken Foundation, who was in the audience, for his initiative in setting up this fantastic hub and giving domestic and regional entrepreneurs the chance to demonstrate their talent and willingness to develop new innovative financial services.

After the welcome, three promising FinTechs presented their business models.
