These are the latest statistics about FinTech in Germany. The number of FinTech is plateauing. Some newcomers can just replace the recent dropouts. Funding is slowly picking up again, at least in total volume. With some more activities in autumn, we might come close to 2022 numbers. However, the number of funding rounds might end at an 8-year low. The overall value of the German FinTech ecosystem is about 54 bn euros.

German FinTech funding almost came to a standstill in Q4 2022. After Q2, funding stood at €3 bn and reached the record levels of 2021, but slowed down significantly in Q3.

After an exceptional 2021 with record funding volumes of €5.5 billion, 2022 got off to a much slower start. German FinTechs have raised €0.5 billion so far.
